    Boarding step on 91 XP

Hey Guys, recently took out my 91 XP and she runs famously!! But trying to re-board it in deep water is near impossible I find, does anyone on here know if a boarding step from a new generation will fit on my 91 Hull?

It's nearly impossible to get nuts in the back of those hulls to secure the bolts... putting a step on that ski just isn't worth it. I would look into the technique used by most to board that type of ski. Once you figure out which knee to put on first and where to grab and get balance they aren't too hard to get up on really. I weigh 290 lbs and i can still ride and board those skis in deep water just fine... it's not pretty, but it's fun. If i was hell bent on needing a step on that ski i would fashion one with rope and a short piece of pvc and tie it to the tow loop on the back.

agreed. that is a good idea as well. im 170lbs and i dont remember which ski it was in the past that i tried boarding but it just seemed to tip over way to easily even if it was shored.
