Cost aside, what are the best things to repair/upgrade on my MSX 150?
Its not a matter of savings at this point. I love the hull and want to know what it is we have to address to continue to enjoy it. Aside from the pump (working issue), and as Hill xxxxxxxxxx pointed out, upgraded oil tank from Randy at Weber. Where else should I focus? Hint hint other new guys listen in!

If money is no object and speed is all that maters then 4tec. This could cost a lot more than a basic rebuild on the weber. You need a functional donor Seadoo.
3k maybe 3.5k will pretty much rebuilt everything on the ski, turbo and all, the right way if you do the work. This is less than a conversion and a new or used ski with similar abilities. It is also much more efficient fuel wise.
The list goes like this
Call Randy and tell him you want to rebuild the engine and want to upgrade what needs it and what is recomended. I can't remember atm
have a look through my thread and you will get an idea of what it will take. Remember my issues came from wanting things that were not available, thus there was problems with ordering one of parts and also machine issues. But Randy got me through it, all 7k in custom parts.

That takes all the fun out of it.... But yes that is a killer deal. Even if the engine is about to blow up
Besides I want it so I hope it does not sell.... For a few months

Re-Nik or sleeve the block. New pistons/rings. FST counter-balance shaft, drive gear and waterpump shaft. Full engine rebuild (waterpump shaft seals, gaskets, oil pump, etc.). Upgraded oil tanks. 160deg T-stat. New version boost valve. PS Reflash ECU for a little more power. Rebuilt jetpump and through-hull carrier.
This makes a sweet, fuel efficient, ~64-ish mph, MSX that should be reliable for years to come.
Cheers!

Not stepping on toes here. I feel this is going to be a great winter project. Wife likes it when I have hobbies that are close to home. Needless to say, after I figured out all the BS rules to the local 8 ball league, I let it go. Call ball, and no matter what happens, if it goes there, it's legal! Total slop.
