    Oil in supercharger?

Hey guys, I got my brand new supercharger unit from Jerry today and I proceeded to take off my old charger and found the hose going into the supercharger housing face ( where you can see the impeller wheel) was dripping with oil when I took it off! And so was the 90degree hose that connects the supercharger to the throttle body! I only had it off 1hr ago and it was dry and free of oil!

It was fresh clear oil. 1hr ago I did put my engine back in after changing the flywheel bolts and filled up with oil. I put a spirit level on the bumper trim and put the ski on a hose and let it run for 2 minutes then switched off and let it sit for 30seconds before each check until I got the engine oil level in the middle of the bends. I've fitted the brand new charger there and checked the oil level and it looks fine. I've put it on a hose for 2 minutes and there was alittle bit smoke on first start up but then it seemed to clear straight up. I think I did notice alittle but smoke on the water but I just pusumed it was normal exhaust fumes.

Could this just be a case of my old supercharger was just about to fail or could it be somthing more worrying?

    This is my old supercharger.

it seems to me the oil seal on your old one went bad. My throttle body is off of my ski right now because of same thing. The seal leaks and you get oil mixed with your air from the intake. When it is not running it drips through the air intake, when you give it gas it sucks it back up to boost hose and into throttle body. Hope this helps and I hope I am right lmao

I hope your right too! Ha ha ha

I do park my ski on a steep incline so supercharger is at the low end which would explain the oil dripping that way. Hopefully that's all it is fingers crossed.
