    What are you boys cooking for the 4th? (Pics Inside)

    Just pulled 19lbs of pork out of the smoker and about to put a 13lb brisket in. I make a sweet, hot and tangy BBQ sauce as well as home made slaw and wooden bucket strawberry ice cream so it's about to get real for 14 people tonight.

    What are you guys whipping up?

    Looks great CCW...I'm doing the same...smoking a pork shoulder tomorrow. I'll post some pictures.

    I literally have friends and family ask to pay me to make pulled pork, ribs and briskets. If I had the time, I think I could open a local BBQ sandwich house and stay covered up.

    Gah...I meant butt...that was my first post of the morning and hadn't had but one sip of coffee and even cleared the blur out of my head or eyes from sleep yet. I have no idea why my fingers typed shoulder. lol And this is why I log off the internet entirely come early evening when I start drinking beer.

    This brisket will go on at midnight...will serve it up around 3pm...


    along with potato salad, corn on the cob and a seedless watermelon for desert...I expect to be as big as a tick by 4...heh

    Looks good VaRedneck. So a 12-14 hours smoke with an hour cool down? What temp are you pulling it?

    The first 4-5hrs will be at 225-250...I'll re-set and go to 175 for the next 6-7...will do a foil boat in juice for the the last coupla hrs or so.
