My visit to Riva... BIG NEWS & NEW PRODUCT!
Fun story for you guys... Last week I ordered the tuner, tune, seat cover, and stainless wear ring from Riva. To my complete and utter surprise, the package arrived the next day. So I looked at the return address and it said Pompano Beach, which is about 20 minutes south of me!
So I drove down yesterday and met one of their parts guys, his name is Terry. I ended up picking up the Solas impeller, removal tool, and both deck hardware sets. They even gave me a solid discount!
Anyway, aside from him and his coworkers being incredibly knowledgeable, they also let me in on a little secret... They are coming out with a custom cold air intake for the Spark! It'll have hard plastic molded piping that runs around the gas tank and places the filter up near the storage compartment where direct cold air can be drawn in. He was saying that their research and development guys have actually shown noticeable and document-able gains (obviously would need to be paired with the proper tune to make the best of the modification).
Supposedly it'll be rather affordable (all things considered, PWC parts are a bit pricey to begin with), but product launch according to them should take place next week barring any holdups.
I'm looking forward to dealing with them since their service is fantastic, people are awesome, and they even throw in discounts where they can.

...heh..,
we call them PWCs, affectionately, 'our skis'...
but they're still a boat.
boat is an acronym, just like PWC is.

Agreed, they are pretty big! Supposedly they started out as a tiny little scooter shop on Dixie and grew to become this massive entity with a huge following. Very impressive growth!

Ugh. Yeah I know... I am in the process of fabricating something similar (and probably substantially less expensive haha)
