    Newbie 750 SLTH build

Hi, guys. New to the site (although I have been creeping around as a visitor for a while) and new to PWCs in general. I recently purchased a 1999 Polaris 750 SLTH from a buddy. He purchased it from someone else, never put it in the water, and immediately tore the body down to paint. So what I bought was a hull with motor and a big box of mystery hardware. The box also contained extra crap that i can only assume came out of the sto rage compartment. I have sanded the ski down and painted it and have it 95% reassembled using the jigsaw puzzle method. I will have about 1000 questions on where this hose hooks up and what the heck is this part?! But right now, I am searching for a good source for parts for this beast. This week I have found that due to my 6 year old and 14 year old pretending to drive the ski and it flipping backwards on the trailer, the trim nozzle and jet housing are broken. I have found a couple of parts on ebay but this particular model is not listed as compatible. What parts are interchangeable with what models? Thanks in advance for any and all help with this.

    Welcome

Start by having a look through my signature links. There is a lot of info in there.

Have a look in the Polaris Classifieds on Greenhulk. Should be able to find some or all of the parts you need.

Pay attention to the recommended maintenance and upgrades for your blue Fuji engine. And regarding the jet pump and driveline.

You may need to align the engine to the jet pump as the engine may not have settled into the exact same position it came from the factory. This requires a special alignment tool. You may be able to rent one.

Thanks K447. I have actually discovered your links after I posted. What a wealth of information! Lol, wish I had discovered the schematics before I started assembling the ski. I do have a hose that runs from the MFD to I assume the gas tank? I was fortunate to have a new MFD that came with the big box of stuff. I had no idea what I was getting into, but thanks to your information, I can do a lot of minor work and inspection that will probably save me some big bucks down the road.

MFD hose runs to a nipple directly under the drive shaft through-hull bearing. MFD speedo works from water flow pressure under the hull, via a pitot fin.

If your ski is truly a 1999 SLTH it has a 700 cc 2 cylinder red motor. Not a 750.
