1200 CDI boxes

I have 2 1200 CDI boxes I would be willing to sell. I have a 4010379 and a 4010543.

What do the timing curves look like on either of these CDIs?

Both are similar. 23 degrees initial. The 379 is a little hotter in the middle. The 543 was used in the 2001 model skis.

Hi, I'm new to the forum and have 3 seadoo xp skis but I'm working on a friends 02 polaris virage tx. I just replaced the fuel line and cleaned the carbs but it has no spark. I put a new battery on to make sure it's cranking at at least 10.6 volts and still no spark. Do you think it could be the cdi and if so are these still available? Thanks

379 is sold. 543 is still available.

The 543 is a good cdi as well.

Hrmm per BryanPs other post, id bet soon enough hed be able to make that 543 the same as a 379.....

You probably won't notice a difference. A lot of guys are running the 4010447 boxes for a 1050 in thte 1200s with good results.


Reprogramming a red potted CDI is a little tricky and something I would rather not mess with right now.

Are you sure its an 02? Check the last 2 digits of the VIN tag. The 02s used CDI part number 4010567 which goes with a high start flywheel. The 4010379 would not really work too well with that flywheel.

I can sell you a 379 if you really want one......
