    Rxp seat mod

    Has anyone tried to modify a seat on a rxp by trying to lighten it i have a spare seat here and wanted to see if i could do anything with it ?

    What's the point ? It's not heavy by any means .

    Clearly you haven't picked up a '12 to '15 seat. They are tanks...especially once water gets into the seams/foam.

    There is a company in Europe making gelcoat fiberglass version. Sydney of Australia sells one that is almost $2,000US. Both look nice but would not want to ride with them.

    I can arrange to make these locally (U.S) but fear the price would scare too many away, thus making it not worth the startup cost.

    But I really like the idea as lowering the CoG would be smart and it would act like ski has 4 less gallons of fuel (acceleration).

    I have picked mine up and it's not that heavy imo for its size . 2 grand for a seat is nuts a turbo cost less than that

    turn up the boost and that extra weight will help keep you in the water....
