My streetbike helmet is very, very nice and warm in the winter. There is a "watersport helmet," that looks almost like a bmx helmet, but it floats. I've seen them around.

Does it get any better than Jet Pilot? I dig the A-10 vest, but I have to admit, that's just for the bling factor. I still have not found anything that beats the 3 buckle Flight vest (side entry). I've been thinking seriously about buying some Fox or Thor MX pants for a little extra protection. They have built in knee and some hip protection. They are also made out of heavy duty nylon so it dries out pretty quick. If you (everyone) don't already ski with helmet you need your head examined, get one if you don't already have one. When I rode my SJ exclusively I wore soccer shin guards under my wetsuit.

Warmer weather is coming and we need to all keep safety in mind as we break the toys out from hibernation

I waer one ALL winter when I ride, with some nice Oakley H2Os. I will lose the helment for most of the summer but WILL use it when I'm racing or doing speed runs!!! Other wise I'm just playing around and I try to keep it on the DL.

I also find it's harder to find a good race with the helment in play??? Maybe there's just not enough guys that are serious up here in the NW!

    Safety also includes

    - common sense
    - riding smart
    - courtesy
    - right of way
    - preventative maintenance
