Reminder: be careful and respectful out there
Share the water and stay away from anyone riding, tubing, surfing, or swimming.

Loved the ending. Have definitely felt like doing that to a couple of people being stupid on pwc's...

this one never goes out of style
I'm praying we won't have repeats of past years tragedies here now that the big holiday has arrived
One of the true issues of boating is that people don't do it enough to keep their skills sharp

As a boater, pwc enthusiast, and wakeskater, the key for everything is to stay the hell away from everyone. You never know if someone is going to fall, jerk off course, stop, or accelerate.

I had a 25+ foot boat fly past me into a narrow cannel yesterday , no wake zone , with a fishing pier full of people on the right and rocks on the left. He must have been going Atleast 25-30 mph and maybe 5 feet away from the pier. No common sense ...and im probably half the age this guy was. It's takes a lot to piss me off but People like this shouldn't be on the water. Oh and not to mention the 3 boats at the ramp tied up waiting ..

I jump the wake behind my own boat all the time. Often my wife will tow kids and I'll be on the Ultra. I stay back at least 150' or so. If somebody falls, I can get to them quicker than the boat, and I don't create a 3 foot wave that practically drowns them like the boat does. Hell, sometimes the spotter on the boat doesn't even notice that the skier has fallen!

They just allowed a huge marina near me to allow PWC launching as they were restricted for yrs do to the fact it caters mostly to big sail boats and understand why ...
As we know they have the right of way in all water no matter what direction but not all boaters especially a few skiers Ive seen really care as a sail boat using the power of the wind gives an illusion as if it's not moving there's no propeller wash like a power boat , it can traveling 20-25mph and you couldn't tell ..
seen a few skis get too close them..

I think much of the problems involve novices renting ski's. Their on vacation and probably will never own one so they don't care about boating etiquette, not familiar with the area they are in etc....give jet skiers a bad rep....

In my area the main issue are the speed boats. Trying to fish on the boat and having a collection of them come through, especially in the intercoastal can get crazy with the wakes. There are defiantly a few idiots on PWCs, but the majority of the annoyances and dangers are the big time boaters..
