Thread: Some Advice...

    Some Advice...

Just pulled the Intake Manifold off and deleted the Ribbon --

Was wondering, since I have the Manifold on the bench w/ full access
are there any holes ( for NPT fittings ) I should drill / tap / plug for now
for future connections to the Intake Manifold.

If so, what size and where ?

    Pix would be helpful.

Thank you in advance for your assist and insight

1/8" NPT fitting. I bought mine at Ace Hardware.

The blow off valve does attach to the IC or tubing running from the IC to the super charger. The fitting is to attach the vacuum line on the BOV.

OK -- Yes, I forgot about the "Signal" line to the BOV --- definately need to drill
    a hole for that one.

    Is it a 1/4" NPT fitting thread ? .. or can it be a 1/8th NPT ?

1/4" NPT is too big. I used the following but I bought at ACE:

    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Brass-Fittin...-/271818107720
    http://www.ebay.com/itm/Elbow-Brass-...-/281705528782

1 for the BOV and the other for the FPR.

The ID of the NPT is going to be larger than the ID of the hose barb so no worries there. 1/8" NPT is the better option IMO because it takes up less space and you're removing less material from the manifold.

1/8 NPT is what the standard is for all applications for BOV. Boost Gauge will come in handy to know what your boost is so when your at WOT it gives you an idea to slowly release rather than just drop throttle and increase clutch damage

What number drill did you pre-drill for the 1/8th NPT ?
