    Carb rebuild kits. $250.00?????

    I'm online getting parts for a 2001 GP800R to do a carb rebuild. $250.00 for a kit??!!?? does that song right? Bought rebuild kits for one about 8 years ago and they were about $50 per carb. What am I seeing wrong here.
    Thanks

    Did you get em here at the Green Hulk OEM parts store or somewhere else?

    What I'm seeing is called a carb repair kit for 250 bucks. Seems kinda steep.

    I got them some where else because I couldn't figure out the oem site here lol. I'm guessing it's a full kit with all the stuff for the carbs but I just wanted seals and gaskets to clean out the carbs and put in new jets.

    you paid somebody $150 to throw two bags in a bigger bag.

    I'll sell them to you for $240 and FREE SHIPPING!

    <throws hands in air>

    those kits likely contain all new hardware too..is that right?

    oh pretty please tell us who is selling this stuff so I can ask him if the screws are made out of %^%&*&^ palladium or not

    I got my mikuni kits (all 3) for my gp1200r for $99 free shipping on ebay. that is just rubbers and gaskets no needles and seats or jets, which you can buy seperate for a good deal on the greenhulk store (coupon code greenhulk).

    If you don't get them here, try Atlanticjetsport.com. Everything ought to run about $60 apiece.

    Ordered kits from RIVA. 50 bucks each. The guy at RIVA says the kits I saw were the same only they were from Yamaha. He claims Yamaha buys the Mikuni rebuild kit from Mikuni, packages them in Yamaha packaging and marks it up to 250 retail. Might include more stuff than gaskets too like jets, needle vavles and seats, etc. Was told by SEVERAL people to get ONLY genuine Mikuni rebuild kits because aftermarket rebuild kits for the Mikuni were subpar quality.
