    Vtech tune top speed 48mph;(

    I tuned my 2015 Seadoo Spark 60hp 2up to the (Stage 1 8250 30 73) flash.
    *93 octane fuel
    *sea-level
    *90 degrees
    *Sport mode activated
*Not sure of rpm's (I will check this weekend with the re-flash)
I took it out and compared the results to my stock 2015 90hp Spark and they had the same acceleration and top speed (48mph). We rode in calm river for a couple miles and stayed side by side the entire time. If anything the tuned spark was maybe 1/2mph faster.
I've decided to try to reflash it and take them out again this weekend.
Has anyone had similar results from the Vtech 2.0 maptuner?

With the stage one tune I am still getting a top speed of about 49mph. But the torque increase was substantial. Now I also installed the recommended intake, high flow exhaust, and impeller.... But I thought I would break 50mph but did not....

Did you use a gps? The speedo is not accurate unless it has ibr which yours clearly doesn't because it's a 60 horse model

Dang!, I was under the impression that it would increase the top speed to 54mph with just the tune.

hmmmmmmmmm, thers gotta be a GPS speed assessment; cuz I started with a 60, tuned, and my speedo wili bounce between 53/4. I know it rpm related...

that was at 560'> S.L., 3/4 tank 200# fat-ass, and 100 oct., in fresh water - stone stock save for the tune.

I've been looking at 'accelerometer' apps to see if it'll give any kind of reasonable reading for h.p.
I know its gonna be a 'crap-shoot' w/o a dyno, but it'd be nice to know what the tune is actually worth.

You're the second person I've heard say that the V-tech was almost identical to the BRP 90 tune.

I've raced and beaten 90's, but its always hard to estimate other riders skill levels too. I do know that you have to climb way, WAY up on the bars to keep the ski in the water when I launch though, others - not so much with poor results....soo with that being said:

100 octane!? You thing that fuel contributed to the extra speed?

dunno, but I'm sure it kept the knock sensor quiet.
thus allowing full spark adv. should lower octane hold it back somehow.

here at Havasu you can find just about any octane you want at the pump at the right station.

Not uncommon to run across power boats pushing paired 3,000+ h.p. mills.

earlier this month we had 'Desert Storm'. Top speed on the water was 189 I think. Not the fastest ever, but good considering water conditions

Too much octane slows you down
