Check battery voltage while the engine is cranking.
Voltage must stay well above 10.6 volts during cranking, or no spark.

Thanks for the reply. The battery is putting out 10.9 while cranking. I've been reading all your threads . You are a great help!! I changed the stator because at first I had no spark. After replacing stator I have very weak spark. I know its something dumb but I cant figure it out. There is over 9 volts coming out of the cdi brown wire.

Hold down the Bilge button and keep it pressed. Try starting the engine. Is the spark stronger?

I do but but i'm nervous to pull it out of my other ski because that one works. I tried pulling the spark plug wires out of the ski that dont work. How do they come out? I tested voltage at the ignition coil. It put out the same voltage as the ski that runs. If I do pull the cdi out of the good ski is it hard to do? Seems like those wires are in there kind of tight.

Just got through reading the ground section of your signature links. When I replaced the stator I noticed the bottom bolt was stripped. I had to cut the bolt head off. I wasnt able to get the bolt out so I left it as is So the stator is held on minus the 1 bolt. It's on there tight nonetheless missing 1 bolt. Can this possibly be the cause?

I pulled cover and flywheel off twice already. I dont want to pull it off again unless you really think this could possibly be the problem. If i saw other problems with the electrical acting erratic I would think this could be a problem but everything checks out ok minus the weak spark.

Removing the CDI is not complicated. Take digital photos and make notes of where things came from as you extract the CDI. Pay attention to where the black ground wires are routed within the electrical box.
Disconnect the battery before opening the electrical box on each machine.
Move the CDI out of the running machine and install your 'bad' CDI in the good watercraft. See if the engine will fire up and start. If not then the bad CDI thesis gets more likely.
Next install the good CDI in the non-running watercraft. See if it now has spark and starts.
