They just came out with a new hull material for 2015 (Nano2) which is a huge deal of almost 40lb less per ski. The FZR also got a different ECU tune for OEM speeds in the low 70s instead of high 60's like the 2014s.

I'm not a betting man, but I predict you won't see any performance changes for 2016 in the FZ's BUT what you will see is RIDE.

Maybe updated gauges? Doubt it.

Part numbers are different. Also the fact that 2015's are doing 70s and the 2014's are doing 60s. I'm sure being almost 50lb lighter helps that too.

I heard it was just a few batches of chains in their early production models, I haven't heard of one breaking lately.

14 and 15s have had chains break.
