What do you see the cost being for a CDI re-timing?

Do you know all the common CDI timing curves?

I have this... which I believe to be from an X-45... and am curious how aggressive a curve it may have.

that box does not have a very aggressive curve. Probably good for your boat. It may even be a special program just for your particular boat. Have you checked timing?

Ah... good to know. It's not the original CDI for the Rio but I'm pleased it's not overly aggressive with timing.

I have not yet checked timing on my new engine. It's where you use a dial indicator through the plug to find 0.081" BTDC on the MAG piston then mark the flywheel through the timing hole... then start and run engine to 3000 rpm and you should see the mark centered in the timing hole with a timing light on the MAG spark plug wire... right? And this means base timing is set to what?

    Cheers!

Can you rebuild the cdi on a 02 polaris virage tx? Just curious. If not do you know anyone that has the 379 cdi for the virage tx? Also if we found one could you program it and tweak it for a little more? Thanks

I was finally able to successfully burn a cdi for myself. Damn ancient computer program wont work on Windows 8 or Vista. Had to run it under Windows 95

Is that 377 box you have red potted or black? I have not set up my computer yet to program the red potted box. Believe it or not its a DOS based program and I have to set up my computer to run that.
