Thoughts on GTR215
Came across a 2015 GTR 215 was wondering what you guys thought of this ski.
Hows the Ride and Performance, can it be upgraded with some speed parts with decent results.

OH HELL YES!!!
It'll take virtually all the mods an RXPX would.
unfortunately BRP decided to change things up a lil in '14 and ADDED about 80 pounds to the ski.
the '12/'13 models only weigh in at 760lbs. After that they back up to about 820.
The GTR is essentially a GTI hull, with a SC'd 1503 powerplant.
I L-O-V-E my GTR and the way it rides/handles. Not like a T3 or S3 hull at all, much 'looser' on the water, like a flat-track (ascot) bike, until you pin the nose with trim, then she'll turn pretty darn good.
Personally, I prefer the 'looser' ride; I can 'drift' the ski if i feel like it.., which is always more fun, to me.
surfer15 has gotten excellent results from his mods, ski does about 77 now. Theres also a rider in Greece(I think) thats getting very serious with his mods, turbo, I think.

Like raceneked says, it's a great machine. I've got a GTR 215, so if you want you can check out our "how-to" section of our YouTube site (3ftDeep) for maintenance, etc.

I have ridden Marios (3ftdeep) GTR and it handles nothing like my Ascot, sorry could not resist after the Ascot comment.
Back to the OP's question:
I have not heard any negative comments on the GTR everyone seems to like them a lot. I consider it the sleeper model in the Seadoo line up good handling hull with the 215 engine at a great price. The only downside is if you want to mod for speed all of the newer models have GPS limiters in place that require a computer reflash to eliminate.

GTR is an awesome ski...if you don't mind the fuel usage.
