2002 Virage TX, Keihin CDK 2

So my buddy has my ski right now and thinks that the carbs need a rebuild. Starving for fuel and the we cleaned them last fall, which helped for a bit. The ski was a barn find and ran fine for a few years, now top speed is low. Now to my question.

What the heck carbs are on the 2002 Virage TX? I don't have the ski and don't remember if its the CDK or CDK2. Any info would be great.

The one lead I found after searching the forum for the past hour or more was a dead link to the google doc site that is a treasure trove of knowledge.

And did you just spray carb cleaner through a few passages or did you rebuild them with an oem rebuild kit. I'm assuming you are trying to rebuild them since you are asking what exactly they are. An oem rebuild kit should cost you around 50 bucks a carb.

    Good luck.

We took them out and cleaned them with carb cleaner, didn't rebuild. We were out at the lake and though why not try. Rode it for the rest of the season and a few hours this year. Now its time to pull and rebuild. Thanks for the reply, I'll get em ordered today. I see everyone is running OEM due to aftermarket not being reliable.

Found a reference to this on a rebuild carb page.

    https://drive.google.com/file/d/Part...9917132r01.pdf

Was hoping it would give me some detailed info that the service manual and parts fiche didn't.

When you do the rebuild, make sure to get the little internal carb filter on the backside.
