07 GP1300R. Should the 2 impeller housings be removed and sealed during impeller swap
Did PPK and other mods. Prop still slips, Replacing stock prop to DF 14/20 due to additional mods.
Pump/prop is off, so have good access
Should I also pull the housings that are bolted to the transom assembly(5 bolts, correct?)? Are these often sources of cavitation? Definitely plenty of crud around joints/circumference.
If so, what should I seal them with. Have just about all sealers. Thinking 4200.
Thanks!
