Xlt 1200 exhaust warning loght
So I just had my carbs rebuilt, and the past few times I've gone out my 2001 Waverunner has done great. But the past few times, I noticed the water isn't really shooting out very high from the back when I drive it, maybe only 4 or 5 feet high. When it was originally shooting like 12 feet high. Also my warning light will come on and the words "exhaust" will be flashing on the screen. Any idea what's going on?

Cat con likely took a dump. Replace with D-plate and temp sensor chip. As far as gay spray, have you checked the "S" hose and both clamps underneath? If nothing there, sounds like you may have trash in the pump that is limiting water flow to the entire system.

What is the cat con? And is it an expensive fix? And which hose is that you're talking about? The one under the jet ski?

Catalytic Converter. Not an expensive fix put a PITA to remove. Yes, the hose is under the rear deck. You cannot miss it.

You also better address 2 other issues with that ski.
1. The oil lines that come loose on nearly every 66V engine. Not a matter of if, but when. When an oil line comes loose, a cylinder takes a dump and unless you are PWC mechanically minded, the cost is rather steep. There's a wealth of "HOW TO" information about if you decide to tackle this.
2. WaveEater power valve clips and couplers.
These 4 fixes (D-plate, temp sensor chip, oil lines and PV clips/couplers will ensure your XLT is very reliable.

The guy who rebuilds carbs unhook the oil line and told me to just pre mix my gas to avoid a major accident later on if one of the oil lines come off.
