In-line fuel filters and oil pump + pre-mix
I picked our ski up from the shop Monday (01 Virage TX 1200). Apparently the rubber check valve pieces were a tad too thick, and one of the fuel lines was switched.
She purrs like a kitten now.
The shop owner told me it was running lean, oil wise, and that I needed to run pre-mix AND use the injection system. Does this sound right? They also installed an in-line fuel filter and I thought those were a big no-no because of how much fuel these engines pull.
One last thing... Service manual says the spark plug is NGK BPR9ES, but the owners manual says it is NGK BR9ES. Which is it? Does the projection tip make that much of a difference?
