    03 GPR Bilge pump tech question

    My bilge pump is cracked and FUBAR, I found the same model Rule 25-D for about $25 shipped. O.E.M is 25-D YMC (guessing Yamaha Motor Co.) Are these basically the same? After doing my research 25-D is non-automatic, there is a 25-S model that is full auto, same exact design, about an inch taller, they go for about $65 shipped. Is the OEM 25-D made full auto just for YMC? Or if it is non auto, can someone tell me how it works with out a on/off switch on the ski? Don't want to spend the extra $$ for a full auto if not needed, or buy the non auto just to find out it needs a switch added...

    I believe the OEM is setup to run all the time when the engine is on. Can anyone else confirm?

    the only difference is the plug on the end. its not an automatic. the computer turns it on

    Well that was fast-thanks! I just went ahead and ordered the non-auto 25-D model. Planning on cutting the old plug out and reconnecting to the new wires. Any advise or specific way on how to connect these to protect from elements? Or just same way I would reconnect anything else and use extra tape...
