fix it or part it?
as I am fond of saying "it's never just the starter", I have at the shop now a 2000 yammie xlt 1200 with a locked up motor.
Looks like a piston skirt broke or it dropped a ring someplace. locked up tight
came in for a no-start-oops..sorry about that.
Question is..fix it or part it?
The hull isn't all that..but it doesn't have 500 hours on it either.
on the surface, I'd be inclined to part it, since I'd assume the crank is going to need replacement and for all I know the real issue is that a rod broke and someplace there is a hole in the cases.
has a surprising book value for a 15 year old ski.

I'd pull it apart and go from there.Might be cheaper than you think.What's the market there?
