    Coolest Tach Install for FZR?

What's the best way, not necessarily cheapest way, to add a good digital tach to the FZR? Everybody acts like the factory tach on these machines is basically useless so has anyone been able to remove the factory tach and install a better one in it's place (clean install)? Curious to see pics posted of various tach brands installed in different locations, etc. Looking for a custom install and not just a $25 tach taped to the cover lid. Thanks!

Thanks. I also just found "Justin's PWC Pods" on Facebook. Still wouldn't mind seeing some pics of custom set-ups on FZR's just to get some ideas going. Also, what is the best & most accurate tach to buy? Maybe the PET tach?

I don't think PET tachs are still in production. Jerry said the factory got wiped out in the Tsunami in Japan.

Here is a pic of an FX with the gauge pod, and a Pet 2100dx. The gauge pods are a really nice piece, now just gotta find yourself a Pet - before it's to late.. Watcon still has them listed online.

I don't claim this is the greatest install, but it looks clean and it's cheap. Using a dremel with a cut off wheel, I cut a square hole to lower my tini tach so it doesn't cover up any of the stock dash.
