    Anyone have luck drag racing a conversion..?

    I'm wondering what setups people are using to drag race a conversion. What impeller/pump/nozzle/grate/etc?

    Gpr conversions are light with power and known for being hoppy off the line and take a while to hook up but Duke's Gprxp ran consistently and fast with the best launch I've seen from a conversion ski although not sure what his setup was but it worked for him.

    The 1200 grate will help but I've always had trouble with bouncing on it at anything above 80. Could the dual prop hook it up and still allow the 800 ss grate?

    Yea there's always gonna be a tradeoff between grates on a gpr and the ss grate should work with the duoprop from what I heard but haven't tried it on mine yet so maybe some these guys that ran it can say.

    I have no cavitation out of the hole with my setup. Took me a while, but finally got to were the ski takes off consistently, you have to lean on the handle bars so it won't hop and adjust the nozzle to point down more. I use the old style trim for the gpr.

    Me too. And when I added boost it got worse.

    That's exactly what is happening with my as well......I know some guys modified the grate similar to a 1200.
