    Painting FX Rub Rails

I have searched everywhere and seems everyone wants to do it, but nobody has actually done it. Has anyone successfully painted or dyed the OEM grey rub rails? Really tired of that ashy grey.

Denatured alcohol rub down and Krylon Fusion should make it look good but it will scratch.

The Krylon Fusion is really easy to repair though. Just clean and spray another coat.

I have been a painter for 17 years, painting rubber is never a good idea. It doesn't matter what you put on there, I guarantee the paint will scratch off or crack in a short period of time.

The Rub rails are plastic. But paited ones will let you know anytime someone bumps your ski..

The Krylon actually came out much better than I thought. Already took it and it withstood the saltwater without a problem.
