97 polaris sl 1050 spark issues
Hi i have a 97 sl 1050 I purchased last year. Ran great a couple times then started acting up. What I've diagnosed so far is that the front two cylinders have spark but the third one doesn't. From what I can tell the cdi box has been updated. But I don't know if the stator has. Is there a way to tell if it has been updated. Also the black wire coming from the stator doesn't go into the cdi box anymore (There is no spot for it) it looks as though it has either been cut or melted off. Should it be grounded to the negative side of the battery?
Thanks for your help!
Vince
