2005 Sea-Doo GTI LE RFI propulsion problem

Hi all, been scouting around here but dont see a direct answer or even anything that I can relate to my problem...

I have a 2005 Seadoo GTi LE RFI with about 200 hours on it ....we had it at lake other day and were towing a tube with son was video taping it so I saw what happened.....

as he was pulling the ski seemed to just decelerate.....under full power now it is not able to get to plane but the motor seems fine......starts, revs, not missing that I can tell....but the propulsion seems like it is in low gear....

so I am hoping that anyone can point me in a general direction and tell me how to diagnose it? thanks for any suggestions.....

as a side note I was 650 miles from home with no tools so I just trailered it and brought it home.....I have inspected the grate, etc from the outside and do not see anything in the intake, but the lake was full of sticks and maybe something is up there....I will look at that first.....but want to know anything else that it could be.....
