Hello all,
Looking for some info and a little help. My wife's 2007 GTI130's (108 hours) wear ring is worn on two sides more than the others. I can't feel any movement at all in the impeller bearings and the impeller has some pretty rough leading edges. I have a new impeller/wear ring on order. Anything else that could cause this? When everything was together, there was just a bit of play in the shaft. Is this just how it happens sometimes? Also, I pulled the three allen screws out of the cone. Does the cone just pull off? Do I pry it or tap with a hammer? It still seems to be on there pretty good. Thanks!!
