    2007 RXT 215 - Cavitation issue?

Ok, so today was the first time I've gotten to take our ski out. It is a 2007 RXT 215. It seems like I have a lot of cavitation. Trying to pull the kids on a tube I could hit WOT and the ski would go to about 17-18MPH and just rev to red line and slowly pull. Once i hit about 25-30 it seems ok. I took it out by myself and I could reach about 59MPH solo. Last season it would run about 68-69MPh solo. What should I be looking at. Does this sound like a wear ring needing to be replaced?

One way to find out. Pull the pump and take a look at it. If memory serves....gap should be less .015

What kinda r's are you seeing?

I am new to ski's. I will be on the lookout for a walkthrough on pulling the pump so I can give this a shot.

Nice thread to follow to get the pump and all off. What am I looking for on my impeller to know if it needs to be replaced? The fins of it look ok from I can tell. Would like to save $300 if a new impeller isn't needed but want to do the job right.

It seems I also need to replace the boot o the shaft side of the impeller. That things was completely gone, too. I am quit sure I have the cause of my cavitation. The wear ring has so many grooves in it, it looks like it is threaded.
