Help me pick my next mod

2013 PX -- running Vtech 8350 then installed a Solas 14/19 prop. Revs are falling a little lower than I hoped (7960-8020) and top speed is 73 on speedo. What's my next move? Did some searching and it appears either a Fizzle oem upgrade or an intake. Would like to see rpms in the 8200 ballpark, so might need both? All advice is appreciated.

Hard on the limiter -- 8400ish

I was hoping your tune didnt take or something, but if you were turning 8,400 if must be working, without a tune I tried a 15/20r and it dropped my rpms down to 7850@74mph on the dash, real speed was 72mph this was on my 12 tx a lot of guys say the prop pitch may be way off from the factory.

That is true. Having a local trusted shop that pitches props close by is the best to get the most out of your Solas. I ordered the 15/20r from online store and I was lucky to turn 8000 rpm. Come to find out My local shop (WFO performance) measured it as a 15/22 with a nasty trailing edge kick. Never know what you gonna get out the box.

Thanks all. For the intake, is the kanaflex diy + riva catch can a good way to go or is the r&d kit smarter? Both roughly the same price.

I thought the tx s3 hull was slower and heavier, than the t3, what kind of speeds did you see with the tune and the stock impeller?

about 1mph faster with the stock impeller -- 74/75 on speedo (right now with the impeller its 73/74 on speedo)
