    Used supercharger value?

Hi guys, I've purchased a brand new supercharger for my 185 GTX instead of buying a rebuild kit then trying to find a company I can trust to rebuild my old unit.

I purchased the ski at 18hrs and it now has 22.3hrs but I'm not sure if they are genuine hours that's why I purchased a new charger just for piece of mind.

The old charger is still on my ski and working fine so could anybody tell me what would be the value of my old unit if I listed it as due for rebuild? I just want to get a idea on value do I can list it on eBay over here in the UK

    thanks

some say that the 185 is a 215 SC with a different drive gear

That's correct I converted my 185 charger to a 215 by just buying the 215 kit when rebuilding it

The 185 flywheel and the gear on the 185 supercharger are both different than a 'standard' 215 flywheel and gear. You cannot run a standard 215 SC in a 185 motor without changing the flywheel to a 215 flywheel, but you can buy a new supercharger and swap the gear from a 185 SC instead.

Used 185/215 superchargers are almost worthless since the X chargers came out. You might get $200 for it possibly.

Your motor is now a time bomb... your flywheel gear (185) and SC gear(215) aren't going to mesh correctly, are going to wear prematurely... and ultimately destroy each other and pass through the oil system and destroy your entire motor. Not to mention that you are running lean as hell... because these are closed loop FI, you added air, but no extra fuel...
