    Eastside power sports engine build

So back in December I found out I had a pretty badly burnt valve where a small piece broke off damaging my engine .

It wasn't major but it was bad enough to require a rebuild. Chris at east side power sports offered me a deal I could not refuse!

I opted to go with standard compression cp Pistons with carillo rods and a complete balance of the rotating assembly. This engine is for my personal turbo ski.
Complete REV valve train as well as bronze guides.

In the past turn around time has been an issue however this has since been resolved . This engine was turned around and shipped back to me within 10 days of receiving it.

I actually promised a thread on these services once I received the engine but I felt I needed to completely murder this engine to see if it survives first !!

So 15 hours later at boost over 20 psi, compression is even across the board and it is one of the quietest engines I have ever ran . I have ran this engine past 10000 rpm with not one single issue.
I decided not to go with a ported head or after market cam. This is a stock 51 cam in this current setup with a Garret 2867 turbo and my turbo setup .

I couldn't be happier with the entire process and the end results .

    Nice and clean job Chris.

But why not opt for mild porting (or cleanup) or oversize valves?

(This question is more for Chris)

Why not spot weld the block guard then deck check?

I noticed the ski started to bounce from 85-up - Jim's plate still on ski?

I chose not to port because in my opinion it's not worth it. I'm not saying it's bad I just don't feel like it all that crucial on a turbo application.

I'm not 100% sure on this run of the open loop plate is on or not. It's been awhile.

The block guard didn't move for over 40 hard hours so I chose not to mess with it.
