You're running two batteries in a ski? Just use a deep cycle barrety as the "house" battery and connect directly with a fuse of course.

I would say your start motor should be what is connected to the start motor. . The trolling motor and any other accessories should be connected to the house motor.

I guess it doesn't matter. Just a technical name difference... As long as there is a battery that is for your ski to get you home.

I installed one of these in my bot using the wiring diagram on their manual. Simple.
