iBR Actuator Plastic Casting Failure.
Hey gents.
So this evening was out for a ride this evening nothing out of the usual. went to hit the iBR trigger and all I got was a loud Audible beep and my iBR light flashing on my dash. i couldn't move foreword reverse i was in a sense stuck in neutral. got towed out of the water. took top deck off and this is what i found.
the plastic casing had failed. Now my seadoo has 40 hours on it. I am out of warranty. This is a 1400 dollar part. I have contacted seadoo to see what they will do but i am not impressed. I am on the verge of taking a match throwing a litre of gasoline on it lighting it on fire and walking away (not really). but to say the least i am very very upset. has anyone else seen the likes of this.
This thread is not about weather or you say well this is why you shouldn't buy iBR, i am simply looking to see if this has happened before or, if anyone has contacted seadoo before has had any success. Or if there is any suggestions.
Thanks guys

Wow. Did not know that they even make the IBR on the sparks out of plastic. I don't remember seeing this before.

yah im not impressed. at this point. This was my first seadoo with iBR, and to be fair up until this point I liked it and I would actually consider buying it again. I can forgive a bad casting. shit happens. what I cant forgive is at 40 hours plastic fatigues to such a point that it snaps. I also looked at just replacing the iBR housing and just swapping all the internal components over but I am not able to. as seadoo wants a insaine 1400 to replace it.

Im with Titan on this one... looks like it might have jambed up.
But still, I thought it would go into over current protection or something like that.

If something jammed up on the inside...well that's a big expensive part I can't just keep replacing everything it jam's up....but if something like that just jams I would of thought like you said it would go into limp mode. I'm waiting on a response from seadoo and I will call them later today
