Waterbox, wrapping in insulation to reduce sound, recommended, what product to use?

    Hi Guys

I have searched around and found nothing.
I have the water box's out of my 2010 Yamaha AR240 while installing a ballast system. I am thinking of Insulating the waterbox's to reduce sound.
    Any opinions or product recommendations?

Also the plastic Baffle or resonator
-Are these suppose to hold water, or be dry?
-Would insulating these help noise at all, or just melt the plastic?

    Thanks in advance.

You could wrap them with Dynamat to reduce sound but im not sure what it would do with temps and it can be removed if she runs hotter.

Would someone have a good explenation for what the plastic resonators or baffles do?

Resonators improve the harmonics/sound of the exhaust system.

I ended up wrapping them loosly with product called sound down. Also insulated in exhaust space under swim deck to cut down on vibration (used Kno Knoise) and noise (used sounddown, foam wedges cut and pushed nto corners) and it made a big sound difference.

I used a lot of Dynamat and polyurethane foam under the swim deck and behind the waterbox. But looking at your work, I'm still going to revisit these areas...
Getting these water boxes out and back in is hard...
