    Please Help!!!! Out of ideas!!!!!

2000 Polaris slx 1200 not getting enough fuel

Hi there.... New to the forum so thank you in advance for any help or guidance!!!

I have a 2000 slx1200. Running great then just started running rough at low rpm. I realized it was running on the first 2 cylinders. It seamed to be starving for fuel. I replaced all of the infamous grey fuel lines....same issue. Bypassed on/off valve. Same issue. Put on a set on newly cleaned carbs and exact same condition except now it smokes a lot...a grey smoke through the exhaust. I put an inline fuel filter and it is only filling up half way. Compression is 130 on all 3 cylinders. Any advice would gable great appreciated!!!

check that the oil cable lever at the pump didn't allow the lever to flip over to default position, that wot on the oil going to the carbs

If the intake reeds are damaged on that cylinder the engine will not be able to run on that cylinder.

With the flame arrestor removed, start the engine. Look for a mist cloud above the number three carb throat, especially when the engine is revved up briefly. If it looks different than the other two cylinders then the intake reeds are suspect.

This is assuming the compression is good on all three cylinders.

Thank you. I will try and look tonight when i get home. If it is the reeds, do i need to replace all three or just the one that is damaged?

Might as well replace all 3 while you have it apart.
PM me if you need new reeds. I have some Boyesen power reeds for sale that will fit your 1200.
