    V-Tech Maptuner for 2013 Yamaha FX-SHO Cruiser

Recently purchased a newly developed V-Tech Maptuner for my 2013 Yamaha SHO Cruiser. I already had a Riva Stage 1 kit on the ski including toploader intake grate and Solas impeller. The V-Tech Maptuner was interesting to me because it allowed you to retain all the stock cruiser functions like cruise control and no wake mode as well has having a program specifically developed for Riva Stage 1 type kits which does, of course, not include a new intercooler.

The technical support I got from Jerry at PWC Performance and Jonathan at V-Tech is Sweden was fantastic. At only $860 including shipping, the Maptuner is big bang for the bucks. My ski now has an 8450 rpm rev limit and pulls very hard from 3000 rpm up. My Riva Stage 1 kit definitely improved the performance of my ski but the V-Tech Maptuner has taken its performance to a whole new level without the additional cost of a new intercooler.

I am sure on an aftermarket intercooler would improve performance even more but for those of us wanting something beyond a Riva Stage 1 kit without the costs associated with a Riva Stage 2 type of kit, this is a new and very productive option. BTW, V-Tech also has a tune for stock skis that gets the rev limit over 8200rpm.

I highly recommend the V-Tech Maptuner for Yamaha SHO's!
