94 sl piston install question
I am getting ready to in stall new wsm pistons on my 94 sl polaris wondering when installing the first C clip on my piston before I put the pin in were the opening should be theres a notch cut out on the hole is this were the opening on the C clip should be?

As I recall the piston wrist pin C clips should be installed with the clip gap facing either straight up or straight down. Which orientation does not matter, what matters is that the clip gap not be to either side. Top or bottom only.

ok thanks Looks like the clips that came with top end rebuild kit are the wrong size anyways. no way will I be able to push the wrist pin through with it in there

I gotta put studs in the top of barrels gonna require more investigation

My guess is to put 2 nuts on it and torque it down with red lock tight in the lower thread

Is this how to put the studs in? The studs came with my rebuild kit. Do I use locktight?

ok how do I torque these studs on? Double nut system I was thinking of wont work

I put the studs on with red locktight tightened two nuts together to sinch them down

That should be fine... I would drop a head on to make sure you have enough thread and not too much before installing all of the studs....
