    Speedo acting funny

So this is the second time this has happened on my ski , was idling down a canal and I noticed the speedo was stuck on 67 mph. Reset the key and it went back to normal. has this happened to anyone and does it mean anything ? Stock speedo wheel for now with r&d plate. Just ordered a candoo..

Never, but you will like the Candoo. Make it read mph in kmh mode. It's accurate.

Are you on Max speed setting? The R&D plate shouldn't ever read up to 67 on the speedo, though. Kind of odd. I've had mine stick at 10 when the batt was dead.
with a candoo you will have to remove the SCOM, but as stated above, you can calibrate it in km/h and remove the limiter.

You still require a SCOM with the Candoo GPS. That's bad information. Confirmed this with Jerry.

If it only reads 70kmh it will never be pulled back by a limiter. If you calibrate it to correctly read mph as mph, then you would need an SCOM. It isn't designed to de-limit the ski, but it will if you set it up right.

I'm not confident the ski is limited by mph only, as I was not able to maintain near 7800 rpm when I installed the R&D ride plate. The speedo never read higher than 50, but rpm was limited to around 7400. The SCOM fixed that.

The washer mod works because you're fooling the ECU into thinking you aren't going but 25 or so. Others have reported the r&d plate alone does de limit it. Try getting a GPS speed. The SCOM sends a constant pulse of 43 I believe. The candoo will be doing pretty much the same thing. It is a speed limiter alone that holds the ski back. No boost limiters, no time limiter.
i could be wrong, but it just seems like the speed limiter wouldn't kick in if it thought it was only going 49.
