    V-Tech Tunes

    Hi
I purchased a Maptun tuner and a tune credit for my FX SHO but when I logon to the site to select which tunes to download I am offered a few Tunes under "Yamaha HAD FX 160" - Would have expected to see SHO or similar. Anyone else seen this before?
I have sent an email to Vtech support but they are moving and an auto response email says they will respond in 2 weeks.
To me an FX 160 is a 1100cc motor and not the 1812cc that I have.
Any help would be appreciated as the instructions are no help either.

    Regards

    Dave

That will be to do with the software recognised. It's possible this maybe a bug or your software version has been changed by another tuner. We will find out.

It's best you always address your issues like this:

    1. Your login email address
    2. Vin number displayed on the maptuner (when you plug it in to power)
    3. What's the details of your ski model.
    4. What's your map you are using (sometimes not applicable)
    5. What is your issue

    Send this information to:

    Jonatan@vtech.se

    With subject:
"Yamaha maptuner issue: Please check ASAP"

Also note on weekends response can be up to 48 hrs

Hi. I just responded via email also.
Our database for Yamaha is based of software number and not ski models.
So "had160 fx" just tells you / us what software is in your ecu.

The system identifies your software automatically and then shows you what tunes are available for your ski.

If you have any problems you can call me via the USA support number .

Will post here as others might be able to assist. Installed the Stage 1 tune but still only got 7750rpms on the tacho, might have got a bit of top end response but no extra speed. Would have thought is would have rev'd beyond 8000 with the stock prop on the SHO.
As I have air and exhaust mods I thought I might jump to the "stage 2" but the downloads are as clear as mud.
I am offered 3 tunes which mention "Stage 3 8800" but no "stage 2".

    PM sent.

I went thru the Flashing process again and realised I flashed the Ski with its own "backup" file as it was the first option. I arrowed down and selected the Stage 1 flash file and it completed fine. I checked the RPMS of the Ski and it now revs past the old limiter of 7800 so just need to get it out on the water to test.
Could you please check the downloads that are offered for me as I have 3 x Stage 3 files and no Stage 2 file to download.

    Thanks

    Dave
