I thought the same when I did mine 2 years ago. Even questioned the length. Installed them problem free since then.

The o-rings are the same on both injectors, and its normal for the injector to be able to spin when it is installed, just make sure to lube up those o-rings when installing them, i like to use some silicone grease, it works great

the extended tip (bosch only) is the best type to use but the standard tip will work fine
