    Vtech E85 tune optimum RPM?

    Guys and Gals,

Just purchased an new 2 up base model spark and had the E85 vtech tune installed immediately. Also, installed recommended solas prop, riva stainless wear ring, pump wedge's and intake grate. Im hitting 7980 rpm. Curios what optimum rpm is for that tune?

I will tweak the pitch to gain optimum performance if need be.

Im super impressed with this little machine thus far!

Good speed. The faster you are going the worse it is going to feel when you fall off.

Here is my problem i have lots of mods and I'm running e85 tune.
And I was running solas 12/17 my machine's rpm was 8100 at the most
    So then I tried 12/15 now I have 8620
I have a small bit of damage on the pump but it's been this way for both test see pic

I is definitely faster but it has excessive rpm and for wave jumping it feels like it response a little too quick and comes unhooked on the waves easier then the 12/17

So now I got the new solas 12 vein pump and from what I hear it will lower rpm a little bit because of the more veins not sure where to go from here
12/15 and hope it drops rpm enough but not sure if it will give me the feel I'm lookin for ?
    Or 12/16 in between ?

If anyone have experience with this stuff please help

chipped veins can cause cavitation and a delayed "feel" to acceleration and throttle position changes. Noticed the most at the lower rpm range. Peak rpm is changed very little. Vein damage can also reduce the service life of wear rings.
