    2001 GP1200R will it turn a 13/20 Solas need 68MPH.

Took my 1200R out last weekend and GPS it at 64.4 MPH w/max speed I-phone app. I had put a little oil in the gas because it hadn't been out in a while but ran great. I want to keep up with the new Kawi 310 LX and the new Yamahas 4 stroke. My boat only has 30 hrs. I have a stg. 2 kit not installed and with it came a 13/20 solas prop. Can I turn that prop without moding the engine at all, still gathering all the parts and tools for the big install. I plan on doing the carbs (i'm Mechanically inclined w/automobile experience) myself and at that time doing all the rest of the mods
    .
Complete rebuild of carbs with new jetting and flame arrestors(nothing wrong but will do a complete job)

D-plate, Free flow exhaust, Jetworks mod.
Pump sealing, jims performace plate, intake grate, Trimtabs,
All stainless steel prop housing when I do prop.

I plan on going out next week and see if I can reach at least 68 mph with prop 13/20 SB and free flow exhaust and jims plate if I get it out to him in time. Is 68MPH reachable with these first few mods only.
    Thanks Pete
One last thing my boat has gone faster. I plan on running with out putting extra oil in the gas from now on and not reducing the gas octane.
One more last thing looking for a 2008 GP1300R low hour like new ski. Couldn't post this in Classifieds I'm to new to the forums.

What are your RPM's? Out of everything you listed only the plate and prop will give you any gain if you can spin it. The free flow will hurt you and take away from your top end. The d plate, pump shoe, intake grate are all good mods to have. You should also be adding wave eater clips to the PV's if you don't have them. The jetworks kit will only give you hole shot. Pretty much he same effect as blowing out the water box by feathering the throttle before hitting it. Tabs will give you better ride in the rough but will take away top end as well.

^^^ well all depends on the free flow IMHO. I had no issues spinning the 1300 as long as he has the mods to support it.
OP your in tejas? look up WFO performance, Rich will set you up to stay with the big dogs. you`ll need to have at least 75 mph in your pocket before running with those 4 stroke boys...

and then there is Woody, if you want to go the porting route...

    good luck and have fun!

Yes this is what I'm thinking also about the Riva kits, only the prop and plate and a modded one at that will give top end. So why sell the stage 1 with a 13/19 and the stage 2 with a 13/20.
Whats a good tach to get.

I tried to look up WFO performance but there is no phone listed. You have to get ahold of WFO thru the boards here.
