    2001 GTX, The home stretch...

So after a year long hiatus, I'm ready to finish this thing up.

    New SBT Motor is in.
    Output drive connected.
    Carbs on.
    Most Plumbing complete.

So this is the point I'm at where I have a few questions. When I inherited this, the motor was already tore down and everything disconnected.

In the pics below, there are two ports, 1 on the carb and 1 on the block. I am unsure as to what these connect to. If anyone has a decent carb plumbing diagram, that would be AMAZING.

Other than that, I just lack installing the exhaust. If there is anything on the pre-start check list that you sware by, please by all means post up!

Is gravity feeding from the oil tank to the pump the easiest/best way to prime it?

    Thanks in advance!!!

That's where the pulse line for the fuel pump hooks up. Although I'm not sure why yours faces upward, should point towards bottom of hull (the one on the carb).

I think you put that end of the carb on upside down

Yes that pulse cover on the carb should face down into the bilge. Then the pulse fitting is directly under the rear carb facing forward. The fitting facing down should be to the RAVE system.

Thanks for the replies. Can anyone confirm that I installed the carbs upside down? For reference, the clip for the air box is facing upwards right now.

I'm sorry for all the questions, but as stated it was partially tore down when I got it. Where in the RAVE system would the hose be that connects to the pulse line on the block?

    Thanks in advance.

The carb isn't upside just the plate on the end. When you take it back off, you'll know right away that it doesn't match the shape of the carb

Carbs are not on upside down. Just that plate with the pulse nipple. The Rave solenoid has a line that goes to the RAVE's and it has a line that goes around and under the engine right there. There should also be a check valve in that line near the engine.

cover may not be upside down, double check but if it's on right check the fitting to make sure that hasn't loosened up, seen it happen before they are just a press fit.
