    Need help with a built pro 12.

    So my buddy's got this pro 12..... It was having issues where it would foul out at idle. It would rip at top speeds and ran well. It fouled out and died. It never restarted after that. It has spark, it has 145,145,135 compression. Tore the carbs off and called novi for correct jetting. Found some very bad reeds. Replaced them with the correct v force model reeds. Put it back together and nothing. Even dumping fuel directly in the carbs get nothing. It has spark, has compression, has fuel. It makes no sense. I know if there was an issue getting fuel to the motor it wouldn't stay running but it should at least fire for a second with fuel dumped in? Any help? Ski has triples, novi carbs, hot seat head, v force delta reeds.

    Do you know for sure that it's firing under compression?

    Battery voltage WHILE cranking?

    I don't know why it wouldn't be? I ran an inline tested on all three cylinders?

    We've used 2 different known good batteries. Would it spark in line but not at the plug?

    Timing? Sheared woodruff key?

    Had a similar issue once. (had spark, but just at the wrong time)

    I'm not sure how to check either of those things? How would it jump time?

    if the woodruff key sheared the flywheel moves on the crank shaft and throws it out of time ,pull the gas tank and then pull the front cover and flywheel to check it

    Are there timing marks on the fly wheel?

    there's a timing scale but you need to pull the flywheel and see if the keyway is still in there and good
