    MESA, AZ - Three men were hurt after an explosion involving a personal watercraft at a Mesa Kawasaki dealer Tuesday morning.

    Mesa and Gilbert fire crews responded to the incident at Kelly's Kawasaki near Southern Avenue and Country Club Drive.

    Two patients are in critical but stable condition and another has minor injuries, according to Mesa Fire Department PIO Forrest Smith.

    Burns and shrapnel reportedly caused the most of the injuries. Air15 video showed several pieces of the watercraft strewn across the parking lot and on top of a nearby roof.

    At this time, it's not clear how the incident occurred.

    ...I still dont know why we dont have bilge blowers.
    I understand we're not a boat, so not necessary, etc.
    I also understand that some, NOT ALL, open the seat before we start things up for a visual inspection
    - thus allowing for some form of venting BEFORE start-up.

    ...and on that same note;
    I sure wish there was a better way to vent my SPARK.
    I'm just gonna have to break down and get the RIVA seat kit.
    this'll allow for a better vent/visual @ launch BEFORE start, cuz that lil bugger doesn't have much venting in stock form...

    If the ski is in good shape and taken care of you shouldnt need a blower. There was a recall on the stx several years ago for cracked or damaged fuel tanks that could lead to this exact situation. Its unfortunate but its a freak accident. In this situation I doubt a blower would have helped.

    That must have been one hell of a fuel leak. One of the hoses to the carbs on my Polaris 750 came lose while riding and dumped an inch of gas in the hull, no explosion.
