    2004 FX140 Bad Computer

    My 2004 FX140 has a bad computer.

When I look up part numbers, the computers seems to be year specific and I'm not sure why.

Do anyone know if any other year computers will work in my ski.

    thanks in advance!

Yamaha is always improving their products so the ECU is tweaked to match whatever changes the engineers come up with or it was changed to comply with emissions stds. It's probably best to match the number imprinted on your stock ECU with whatever you're going to purchase. I should have what you need. PM me for details.

    Thanks

I was told 2002-2007 use the same computer but with slightly different programming. Is this true?
I also read the 2002 computer will make the ski faster.
I am not 100% on this though.

    Pm sent
    thanks
