    GP1200r mid shaft assembly

So I purchased a couple GP1200r last year knowing one had a mid shaft bearing that broke the housing and bent the shaft by the looks of it.
So, looking at the part number on it it's not the same listed on the Yamaha parts fiche.

Question is, are all mid shaft assembly for same model and year interchangeable?
Mine is:67X-r9001-21 also as 823482 on it.
And I was looking at one which is 68n-9001-11 and 813011.
They look pretty much the same but are they?

My Yamaha is a 2002 GP1200r and he's listed that it's from a 2002 XLT 1200 but should also fit GP1200r and a few more models and years.
    Will it?

I've recently read that the 2002 model might have a unique midshaft, but I'll be doing a gp1200r midshaft service (maybe) in the next week, so I can let you know what I find in mine.

part numbers are often updated. I'd check with the source of the parts for assurances of a proper fit if it is not obvious by the part number fiche

Seller contacted me saying it will ONLY fit that year (2002) as it had a different shaft in that year.
    So I bought it.
Hopefully it will fit as stated.
Let me know what you find out as mine won't be here for a couple of weeks I figure (Canada)

Post or pm me a picture of it. I can easly confirm. There are 2 mid shafts and 2 driveshafts and 3 combinations. They are all interchangeable to a degree writhing skis of the same year.

Your 2002 is the oddball. I will need to know if you have the stock pump or one with the 2" spacer. .

02 intermediate shaft is the same as 03+

the 02 had the short (28") driveshaft because it didnt have the 2" extension

I tried to take a picture of it, but without tearing up the whole ski, I can't see much in there.
At the moment I'm fixing the other 2001 I have, then I'll start removing stuff on the '02.
The exhaust in these ski is a real PITA!

Don't know if you can make much out of the pump pic, but here it is:

That's the short pump so you will have the shorter driveshaft and a midshaft that looks like the one that says yes on it. All the bearings are interchangeable back to around 1997.

That looks exactly like the one I purchased!
