Ultra 150 Resurrected!!!
Well, I bought a couple of ultra 150's a few months ago.... one doesn't have an engine so I use it for parts and the other needed a bit of work. It didn't take me too long to get it mechanically sound but I just recently started to try and clean it up a little to where it looks nice. I had been riding it on the river I live on just to keep testing it out before making any bigger rides with it. My friend and I took it and my RXT-X on a 98 mile ride this weekend all on new waters to us. I've mapped out a few spots within a couple hours of where I live to go ride and had been wanting to ride the spots we rode for a while. Finally got the time to this weekend and it all went great. Here's some pics of the ski when I first got it and what I've turned it into. Nothing special, but definitely a great ski for friends to ride when they want to go with me. It's very nimble and has seen 64mph on GPS bone stock.
When I first went to look at the ski's. They had been sitting for almost 2years. One is a parts ski with no engine, the other needed some engine work and a good cleaning.
Brought them home and washed them really good before doing some engine work to get it running right. Needed a new water log, carb cleaning, new plugs, new oil lines, fresh gas, new battery and all the debris cleaned out of the water passages.
Put a new seat blacktip seat cover on, new "Ultra 150" decals, ODI Grips, painted mirrors black, and removed all the other faded accent decals.
Still need to finish removing the rear decal & get some new white camo traction mats!
New handlebar pad upholstery and ODI Grips (had to cut the stock bar ends off where the bar flared up)
Rode 98 miles this weekend and it didn't miss a beat! Bone stock and seeing 63-64mph on GPS.
Saw LOTS of sandbars along this route.... had been wanting to take this trip for a while. It's a part of the river that is well off the beaten path.
Had some HUGE wakes from a big tugboat moving quick down the ship channel so I hopped on the Ultra 150 and jumped some wakes.
Pics I took of my friend riding the Ultra. His seadoo is down right now and he was really impressed with the handling of the Ultra 150.
More pics from the ride this weekend. Saw many scenic places.

I wish they still made that hull with a 4-stroke engine.

Nice ski! Get some bars and ditch the stock ones to accent that seat cover.

Use the other for a four stroke swap like this guy did...

Like the Yeti on back, that's how I haul my roadie on the Ultra.
